Introducing our copper twin coil solar cylinder, designed to provide an efficient and effective way to store and provide domestic hot water. This cylinder is manufactured from high-quality copper and comes with a 172-liter capacity, making it suitable for most households.
Measuring 1500 x 400mm, this cylinder features a solar coil with a large surface area that efficiently transfers heat from the solar panels into the solar hot water cylinder. Additionally, the cylinder has an additional boiler coil that is designed to transfer heat from a more traditional heating source, such as a domestic boiler or solid fuel boiler.
This cylinder is manufactured in accordance with the relevant British Standards and is compliant with Part L of the Building Regulations. It features a 50mm polyurethane foam insulation with low heat loss, which provides excellent energy efficiency. Our foam lagging can be applied up to a thickness of 75mm, making it the most environmentally friendly option available with an ozone depletion potential of zero and a global warming potential of one.
The cylinder comes with a dedicated solar volume of 94 and a solar coil area of 1.62m2. The dimensions of the various flow and return connections are as follows: Boiler Flow (1050mm), Boiler Return (750mm), Solar Flow (400mm), Solar Return (100mm), Cold Feed (100mm), H Stat Pocket (1330mm), and L Stat Pocket (175mm).
