With a size of 1500 x 500 and a capacity of 245 litres, these cylinders are specifically designed to work in conjunction with your domestic heating system. The additional coils are designed to transfer heat from a more traditional heating source, such as a domestic boiler or solid fuel boiler, while the solar coil efficiently transfers heat from the solar panels into the solar hot water cylinder.
Manufactured in accordance with the relevant British Standards and in compliance with Part L of the Building Regulations, our copper twin coil solar cylinders combine high-performance heating coils with low heat loss and factory-applied insulation to provide a highly efficient and effective way to store and provide domestic hot water. Our polyurethane foam lagging can be applied up to a thickness of 75mm in most cases and is the most environmentally friendly type available, with an ozone depletion potential of zero and a global warming potential of one.
This particular model features a solar flow of 400mm, a solar return of 100mm, and a cold feed of 100mm. The L Stat Pocket measures 175mm and the insulation thickness is 50mm. The cylinder also includes a dedicated solar volume (Vs) of 131 and a solar coil area of 1.62m2. The boiler coil is manufactured to BS 1566 and can also be supplied as high recovery to reduce boiler cycling.
